Sim Shagaya (Managing Director)
Sim has over 11 years experience in New Media and Investment Banking and has worked with leaders such as MicroStrategy, Lucent Technologies and Real Networks. Sim also served as the Africa lead for the search and internet advertising leader - Google Inc. Prior to this, he was the West African Principal for Rand Merchant Bank. Sim is a graduate of George Washington University, Dartmouth College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria.
Sadiq Mohammed (Director)
Sadiq Mohammed is currently the Chief Operating Officer for ARM Investment Managers (ARM), prior to this, he was the Managing Director of the ARM Proprietary business overseeing the firm’s Proprietary Investments & Principal Investments division. He worked for 3 years as a tax and business advisory consultant with Arthur Andersen Nigeria before joining ARM Investment Managers in October 1996. Within ARM, Sadiq rose through the ranks of the Research and Investment Management Unit of the firm to head it in 1999, after which he had oversight of the financial advisory business for about 2 years.
He is a Fellow of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) having earned GARP’s Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter in 2003 and is also an Industrial Chemistry graduate of Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University, Bauchi. In addition, in 2006, Sadiq completed a dual part-time International Wealth Management Executive MBA (IWEMBA) at Carnegie-Mellon University & University of Geneva. He has also attended several technical and management courses both locally and abroad over the last 17 years of his working experience. Sadiq currently serves on the board of ARM, ASL Plc, Lekki Concession Company(LCC) and the Moorhouse Sofitel, amongst other companies.
Henrik Persson (Director)
Studies in Business Administration, Lund University, born 1974. Member of the Board of Black Earth Farming Ltd, Kontakt East Holding AB and Relevant Traffic Europe AB since 2006, Avito Holding AB and Bayport Management Ltd since 2009 and CDON Group AB and Vireo Energy AB since 2010. Currently Head of Investments, Kinnevik AB, Sweden
Demola Gbadegesin (Director)
Gbadegesin has worked at multinationals like Ocean and Oil Holdings, Mellon Ventures, Boston Consulting Group, Hewlett Packard and Sprint PCS often leading teams in landmark transactions. He has also served as senior adviser to the Honourable Minister of Finance and to the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals. Demola Gbadegesin graduated from Howard University and Stanford University and gained and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Emeka Emenike (Director)
Emeka Emenike is an Investment Manager with ARM Capital Partners Limited (Fund Manager of the ARM PE Fund) and has over 15 years work experience gained in the oil field services, commercial banking, investment management and private equity space. Prior to ARM Capital, he worked in the Principal Investment and Proprietary trading unit of ARM for four years where he structured opportunities in the Infrastructure, real estate, quoted securities and private equity area.
Prior to ARM, he worked for Diamond Bank PLC for over 9 years where he gained very broad exposure to a wide variety of business segments, most particularly in the retail, manufacturing and FMCG sectors. He started his working career with oilfield services company, Schlumberger Dowell (under the auspices of the mandatory National youth service program) where he worked in the oil well cementing and stimulation services unit.
Emeka earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Marshall Business School of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
